TURKISH NATIONAL COMMITTEE ON WATER POLLUTION RESEARCH AND CONTROL

Turkish National Committee (TNC) is a non-profit organization founded in 1990 with a status complementing that of International Association on Water Quality (IAWQ) (International Water Association - IWA today), based in England, in order to support water pollution studies and research in Turkey. While the headquarters of the National Committee is the Turkish Council of Higher Education, its current center of operations is Istanbul Technical University Environmental Engineering Department.

In addition to supporting research on water pollution, TNC also represents Turkey within IWA, creating connections with member committees from other countries and working collaboratively with them in vision of its goals and within the scope of its resources.

The National Committe is the publisher of Journal of Water Pollution Control, which is one of the few Turkish journals with a peer review system.
